My name is Rene’ and I am the primary breeder for VonDoodles! My husband and I have been married for 16 years and I’m so lucky to call him mine as he puts up with all my puppy endeavors! Jason and I have three children, two of which live at home with us and one adult daughter. Each family member in our household is actively involved in the care and welfare of our adult dogs and puppies.
One of my favorite things to do with my husband is camping and hiking in Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park. We’ve climbed to the peaks of several 14’rs and there is nothing sweeter than sitting on the top of a mountain eating hot tamales mixed with milk duds alongside my favorite person. Even sweeter is encountering several fearless dogs with their owners hiking high elevation gains of rocky terrain.One of my dreams is to provide emotional support dogs that would escort people new to exploring the Rockies. Primarily to summit of one of the most beautiful 14’rs in the country. I’m terribly afraid of heights and my first time to summit was terrifying. I remember thinking…if only I had one of my dogs, I’d be okay. Sure enough the very first thing I saw at the top was a lovely pup and her owner! I swear I hugged and kissed that dog to the point of awkwardness!

Our Story
Grab your favorite cup of coffee, tea, or wine and have a seat on our living room couch to hang out for a while! Sounds silly, but in all honesty, our family runs on coffee, connection, compassion and commitment! These are things we strive to provide as a small family owned & operated doodle program located just outside the greater Kansas City area! Intimately sharing who we are and why we are so passionate about raising doodles, and the occasional poodle, is an honor and a privilege!
Here’s How it all began...
Several years ago I remember meeting my first doodle! At that time, I recall thinking, “Who are these dogs?” and “What makes them so special?”
I have been a dog owner for the last 20 years and dog lover for most of my life. I quickly discovered that I hadn’t been up to speed with what has become one of the most sought-after designer mixed breed! The doodle! Since that time, I have not only found the answers to these questions, but have developed a sense of curiosity, turned passion for Bernedoodles and Sheepadoodles. As a breeder and owner of both Bernedoodles and Sheepadoodles my passion, combined with the in-depth knowledge gleaned over the years, have morphed its way into developing breeding and operational standards for my program. It has given me purpose and drive to find solutions to better the breed through various ways, not limited to genetic health testing, Pennhip testing and OFA certification for both hips and elbows. We are always on the lookout for the best breeding dog candidates that meet our strict standards for temperament, conformation and potential therapy dog qualification. In essence I’ve poured a great deal of time and energy into starting things off right!
