what is a

Bernedoodle?

The Bernedoodle is a cross between the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle. Bernese Mountain Dogs are striking, tri-colored, large dogs. They are intelligent, strong and agile enough to do the draft work for which they were used. The Bernese’s confident, alert, calm and affectionate nature, especially toward children, makes them a versatile breed suitable for any pet home!
The Bernedoodle hybrid fuses the virtues of its parent breeds – the cleverness of the poodle with the loyalty of the Bernese, making it a perfect family/companion dog. Eager to please, loyal and playful!

Bernedoodles can come in combinations of black and white, black and brown, or tricolor black/white/tan. The coat of a bernedoodle is typically wavy, but can be a tighter curl. The tighter the curl, the less potential to shed. No doodle is 100% hypoallergenic, but the reduction of shedding commonly found in the Bernese Mountain dog, is dramatically reduced.
